Sales and Coupons

Coupon Accordian

Every single Saturday my parents and I would head down to the corner newsstand/candy store/soda fountain to pick up the early Sunday Daily News for the Funnies and the Coupons. I was raised to look for discounts and sales, and rely heavily on coupons and sale circulars to plan my shopping.

All of this was lost to me for the 6 years I lived in the Caribbean. Internet shopping was very pricy once I added in shipping and 33% customs duty, so it would take some really good nfl shop coupons or other coupons of over 35% value with free shipping to get me to order anything. And no stores accepted coupons or had great sales because they didn’t have to. Sooner or later they would sell whatever it was at full price, so there was never a need to discount.

Even at Parrot Cay, we would not discount multiple Pilates sessions or other treatments (unless they were bought as part of your whole hotel package) because there was no need. Now that I am back in NYC I find that most people look for sales, use coupon links, and clip coupons, no matter what their economic status. And I so enjoy a great coupon score! Seriously, today I had $7 in coupons for $11 worth of stuff at CVS – I paid $3.98.

And I also offer sales and discounts on Pilates, Fitness, and Reiki sessions, audios, and Reiki training. Just subscribe to my newsletter (see sidebar if you ignored the popup) and stay up to date.
